As you can probably tell from the title of my blog one of my passions in life is to travel. Over the years I’ve accumulated a number of must have travel items that accompany me on my adventures, but one thing that I was missing was a travel handbag.
Earlier this year Mia Tui gifted me one of their Mini Jen handbags to give a whirl and I have to say that it pleasantly surprised me.
5 reasons why I like the Mia Tui Mini Jen handbag
The back strap
Hands up if you rest your handbag on top of your luggage as you wheel it along and deal with it constantly falling off the side. Yup, I used to do that too and it became a real pain when I was running for trains and planes. I’m one of those people who tends to cut it very fine. However with the Mini Jen bag you don’t have to worry about that as there’s a back section that you can slot over the handle of your luggage so that your handbag stays put. Game changer.
The keyring holder
I tend to throw my door key in my bag and then end up rummaging around the interior hoping to hear a jingling sound. With the Mini Jen bag there’s a little clip that you can attach your keys to so you’ll always be able to find them.
When you choose a non-leather bag the material can be quite tough. However the material of this Mia Tui bag is soft, flexible and textured. I really appreciate the textured material of this bag as it makes it a bit more durable in terms of not showing scratches etc. For me this is essential so that it can survive being shoved under an EasyJet seat, put through an Xray machine and stuffed into overhead compartments.
The bright interior
The inside of the bag is a bright turquoise blue making it easy to find what you’re looking for inside the bag. A simple design detail that makes life easier.
The Mini Jen is a great size for travel. I can fit my MacBook, DSLR camera and other travel essentials inside easily. The various interior pockets also mean that I can separate my essentials – phone, purse, passport – so that I can easily find them when needed. There’s also a clear internal bag for liquids when traveling and a smaller clutch bag with a cross body strap. Everything that you need.
So there are 5 reasons why I like the Mini Jen handbag form Mia Tui. Although admittedly it’s not the most stylish bag, from a practical point of view it has you covered. I’m now not just using it for my work trips, weekend breaks and holidays but also as a day to day bag for work too as i can fit my laptop and other work essentials inside easily. I’ve even caught my mother perusing the website as she likes the bag so much.
Let’s just say, I’ve found my perfect travel bag. You can find out more about Mia Tui’s mini Jen bag here.
